The Cybersecurity Act (Cbw): Is your organisation prepared?
The Cybersecurity Act (Cbw), the Dutch implementation of the European NIS2 Directive, has been in effect since 15 August 2026. With the introduction of this legislation, cybersecurity requirements have become more stringent for organisations that fall within its scope.
However, the Cbw goes beyond IT security alone. The Act also places clear responsibilities on directors and management. Organisations must not only implement appropriate security measures, but also be able to demonstrate that they manage risks and report incidents in a timely manner.
